We use our unparalleled knowledge of the city to help you achieve the best for your guests.

Route: XL Private Tours are available on a variety of routes (see the below list), tailored to the needs/interests of your group.

Price: XL Private Tours have flat-rate pricing of $450 per group of 25 guests. Each group of guests has a dedicated guide.

Language: English, Spanish, or French.

Duration and Distance: Standard tour durations and distances of our routes are listed below, but we can work with you to tailor tours to whatever confines there are due to scheduling, interest, or guest mobility.

Available Routes

Downtown San Antonio

  • From the historic block where San Antonio began to the crown jewel of its skyline, this tour introduces guests to "a few of our favorite things" in Downtown, covering all the must-see sights. The emphasis of this tour is history, but we keep it fun and enjoyable!

  • The standard tour duration is about 2-2.25 hours long, covering about 1 mile (1.6km) of easy walking.

  • Start Point: The tour typically begins in Main Plaza (115 Main Plaza), just to the left of San Fernando Cathedral’s entrance.

    End Point: The tour typically ends in Hemisfair Park (630 E. Nueva St.), between the Tower of the Americas and La Villita.

  • The Downtown San Antonio route has limited seating. This tour is moderately paced, providing guests with a leisurely experience while exploring the city’s main sites and most celebrated history.

    There are opportunities to purchase water and use restrooms along the way.

King William District

  • Just a short distance from Downtown San Antonio is tucked away a beautiful neighborhood: King William District.

    Here visitors catch a glimpse of times past and learn the history. This tour explores not only the beautiful homes but also the stories of noteworthy residents and events.

  • The standard tour duration is 1.5-2 hours long and covers about 1 mile (1.6 km) of easy walking.

  • Start and End Points: The tour typically begins at the Gazebo in King William Park (131 King William St.) and ends at the same location.

  • The King William District route has limited seating. This tour is moderately paced, providing guests with a leisurely experience while exploring the area.

    As a neighborhood tour, there are no bathrooms or opportunities to purchase water easily available. Nevertheless, our guides are sensitive to the needs of our guests and will make every effort for guests’ rest and care.

Treasures of West Downtown

  • The heartbeat of San Antonio is felt in the cultural district of Zona Cultural, located on the western edge of Downtown. Punctuated by some of the city's oldest structures and newest works of art, this land holds stories of kings and soldiers, merchants and artists, farmers and superstars, bankers and presidents. All the while, San Antonio's vibrant Hispanic heritage is on full display and woven throughout each place seen and story told.

  • The standard tour duration is about 2-2.25 hours long, covering about 1 mile (1.6km) of moderate walking.

  • Start Point: The tour typically begins in Main Plaza (115 Main Plaza), just to the left of San Fernando Cathedral’s entrance.

    End Point: The tour typically ends in Market Square (514 W. Commerce St.), just outside of Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia.

  • The Treasures of West Downtown route has limited seating. This tour moves pretty quickly and may have some uneven surfaces along the way, with sidewalks disrupted by construction.

    There are opportunities to purchase water and use restrooms along the way.

Downtown at Twilight

  • Just as the sun is setting and temps are cooling down, the Downtown at Twilight tour introduces guests to "a few of our favorite things,” covering all the must-see sights, as well as several places off the beaten path.

    The emphasis of this tour is how art in Downtown reflects the spectacular story and culture of San Antonio!

  • The standard tour duration is about 2.25 hours long, covering about 2 miles (3.2km) of moderate walking.

  • Start Point: The tour typically begins at The Zócalo at Hemisfair Civic Park (200 E. Market St.), just in front of the modern building framed in red with the large “Henry B. González Convention Center” letters.

    End Point: The tour typically ends at City Hall (100 Military Plaza), with an opportunity afterward for guests to see the free San Antonio | The Saga Show at San Fernando Cathedral.

  • The Downtown at Twilight route has limited seating. This tour moves pretty quickly, covering twice the distance of the standard Downtown San Antonio tour.

    There are opportunities to purchase water and use restrooms along the way.

A Home for the Holidays

  • Downtown San Antonio's holiday magic is made even more stunning through rediscovery of long-forgotten traditions and stories of individuals who shaped the city's celebrations. On horseback, in carriages, and by train, people have traveled to San Antonio for the holidays for centuries. It was a city that promised joy and one that felt like home. ...and it still is!

    This tour provides glimpses of fantastic history forgotten with time. Circus performers. Newspaper boys. Smelly Santas. Exasperated clergy. Cowboys with gunpowder. And some snowbirds from the north. The city's many festivities are made more beautiful by philanthropy and kindness found all along the way.

    This tour guarantees warm and fuzzy feelings, "Oh, wow!" moments, and plenty of selfie opportunities!

  • The standard tour duration is about 2.25-2.5 hours long, covering about 2 miles (3.2km) of moderate walking.

  • Start Point: The tour typically begins in Main Plaza (115 Main Plaza), just to the left of San Fernando Cathedral’s entrance.

    End Point: The tour typically ends in Travis Park (301 E. Travis St.). Following the tour, it may be possible for guests to ice skate on the Rotary Ice Rink (tickets sold separately).

  • The Home for the Holidays route has limited seating. This tour moves pretty quickly, covering twice the distance of Amigo’s standard tours.

    There are opportunities to purchase water and use restrooms along the way.
